Globalization: It's Not A Joke

First off, I am wishing all of you a very Happy New Year! As the year rolls on, we need to start thinking about the future of our country and the world.

In the christmas holidays, I visited India to see my grandparents. While driving to their home from Delhi airport, I was pleasantly surprised to see a very familiar sign of McDonalds in a quaint little town. The ambience was very similar to the McDonalds located in America, however, the food was completely customized for Indian customers and their palate. It was spicy and there were a lot of vegetarian options.

This is a perfect example of Globalization. All across the world, this change is happening. You can find avocados in Europe and wheat in Malaysia. People are trading with each other more than ever. From any airport in the world, you can travel to anywhere. Africa, Asia, South America, it is all possible now. A guy in Indonesia cultivates the coffee you drink. The metal in your keys comes from a city in Africa. The car you drive in is manufactured in Europe or Japan. The wallet you carry is made in Australia. The ink on your pens is bottled in Colombia. The effects of Globalization can be seen all around the globe and not just in America. Indians can enjoy pancakes and Mexicans can enjoys noodles. This way of life must be preserved and protected, for it keeps the world united and going. Without globalization, America and the world cannot function. It is a irreversible process and trying to reverse this trend will be futile and harmful for mankind.
