Midterms 2018: What to Watch For
In a few days, the midterm elections will be held. Many elections across the country could shape the near future. In the Senate, the Republicans have 51 seats. The Democrats have 49. In order to take control of the Senate, either party must have 50 seats or more. In the Midwest, women senators are running against Republicans. These states were strongly Republican in the 2016 election, but that does not mean things cannot change. With the passing of Senator John McCain, Arizona is up for the taking. The Republicans need to hold on to their seats, and the Democrats have to win just one seat. Meanwhile, in the House, the Democrats have a larger chance of winning. The Democrats need 25 seats, while the Republicans just have to stand their ground. Your vote counts, and could help shape our country's future. Do not vote based on your party, vote based on who you think is the right man or woman for the job. Happy voting!
