How Will AI Affect The Workplace?

Artificial intelligence is the invention of the century. It is all around us, from social media to digital assistants, or any robot which learns every day. AI is on track to play a major role in the workforce, and by 2030, 47% of US jobs will either be taken over or altered by robots. The growing concern is that robots will take our jobs and we will not be able to provide a living for our families. In the past, humanity has faced problems similar to what we are facing now. They were afraid that machines would take over their jobs and they would be unemployed. Every time this has happened, instead of society declining, it has only advanced forward. AI will eliminate many jobs especially in the fields of factory and construction. However, it will also create so many interesting and helpful careers, such as cyber security, robotics and data mining. AI keeps learning, so it also brings many benefits to the table. With time, driverless cars may be able to drive more safely than a human. They can detect cancerous cells before the disease spreads. This also means that drivers and doctors' jobs will be taken away, meaning that AI like everything else has its positives and negatives. AI is still in its infancy, and there are many ways it can play out. All we can do is hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
