The Future of Agriculture Is Here
Bee populations in recent years have fallen resulting in reduced pollination and crop reduction. However, the demand for food is increasing. That is why Walmart has patented a robotic bee or pollination drones. This bee will continue to pollinate crops across the world just as well as bees do. It has sensors which will enable it to pollinate one crop to the other. It looks just like a real bee. The robotic bees will have monitors to monitor crop damage. This will allow it to find the pests which are harming it and send a signal to the farmer. Its features also include personalized pesticide spraying. Instead of spraying pesticides all over the farm, the bee will only spray the areas needed to be so that the food grown is not harmful to the consumer. This in turn helps the consumer and the environment, a win win for all. Another robotic bee plans to replant the Earth's forests. By using the same technology as shown in the previous bee, it will seed and help grow more trees. Both of these bees help humans and the environment. The first bee will repair the backlash against bee populations in recent years. The second one will help replant the world's trees. These bees are not only a solution to the world's hunger problems, but a glimpse of the future of farming.
